A few more adjustments

A lot of the Raiders’ defense was fixed for the Browns game, but a few more adjustments should be made. Their young corners are improving and I like the addition of David Amerson. I even have to give props to Del Rio for putting corner T.J. Carrie at free safety so Charles Woodson could go back to strong safety.

But tight end Gary Barnidge was still the third straight tight end to put up career highs against the Raiders. It was better when Woodson was on him one-on-one in the first half. But when the Raiders switched it up and started running more zones, they forgot about the tight end.

His six catches for 1o5 yards and a touchdown were a lot of what helped the Browns’ get back in the game. I don’t think the Raiders are a zone team so if I were them, I would dispense with it. Any defense that has inside linebacker Curtis Lofton covering the tight end needs to go as well.
