Charles Woodson on Martellus Bennett

Charles Woodson was on the top-100 football players list last year because he shuts tight ends down. He kept Browns tight end Gary Barnidge quiet for the most part when he took him in one-on-one coverage. The only time he really got anything on Woodson was in he area when the Raiders were in zone coverage.

Speaking of zone coverage, the Raiders might want to scrap that altogether because is doesn’t work for them. If you think all these no-name tight ends have been killing the Raiders wait until you see what Bennett does to them. Woodson is the man for the job so the Raiders should be in man all day with Woodson in coverage.

If you want to blitz Woodson or give him a break from it, when they don’t have Mack on him occasionally, they should put Smith (Malcolm) on him. Any defense that has Lofton covering Bennett will get the Raiders killed. He’s the Bears’ big hope in this game along with Jeffery so Woodson needs to be on him.
