Raiders fans need to keep it 100.
If someone told you the Oakland Raiders would be 2-2 after four games before the season, you would have taken it. Yet after a close loss to the Chicago Bears in Chicago, you want GM Reggie McKenzie, who has put a roster together that’s almost there, fired.
Last year, the same people were mad, believing the rookie corners should get a chance to develop. Corners getting plays made on them is a part of their development and this is just the beginning of the season. The truth is they’re already getting better and it’s not even them that’s killing the Raiders on defense.
There are so many things getting better on the team but fans are too busy raining on the Super Bowl parade they started when they were 2-1. I told all that would listen to enjoy the ride because there would be ups and downs. The Raiders are extremely talented but just as young and that means mistakes will be made.
This team is good enough to beat the Denver Broncos on Sunday just like it was bad enough to lose to the Bears last Sunday. As the youngsters start to grow up, there will be more consistency and fewer losses like last Sunday. Plus there are things coming together for the Raiders just in time for the tough part of their schedule.
