Oakland Raiders now ready for the tough part of schedule

Youngsters’ mistakes

Raiders fans are all crying about the GM and play calls but it’s the young players making growing that lost last Sunday’s game. You know, the same guys that won the game for the Raiders the Sunday before that. Running back Latavius Murray is so eager to do big things the year, he didn’t focus on the little things, causing him to make mistakes that cost the Raiders the game.

Star receiver Amari Cooper is doing the same thing as he has a drop in each game to go with all the plays he’s made. He dropped a 3rd-down pass early in the game that could have gotten the Raiders at least in Bears territory if not more. Making one guy miss is all he would have had to do but he was so preoccupied with that, he forgot to catch the ball.

Tight end Clive Walford could have helped make up for all of that on a 3rd-and-2 that could have allowed the Raiders to run the clock out. He’s actually a good blocker and but he didn’t show it on that play, allowing Bears OLB Pernell McPhee to cross his face. Otherwise, that play would have converted and the Raiders could have milked the clock from there. Young mistakes are a part of a rebuilding roster and on Sunday it was unfortunately a day in which the Raiders have a very young roster cost them a game.
