Stacy McGee
Stacy McGee has began to play the way he was at the end of the 2013 season when everyone was exited about him. He never could get himself on track last year after showing up to training camp with a broken hand. He had to kiss that season goodbye because a defensive lineman without is hands is no good.
But this year, he came to camp healthy and started out as a backup to Justin Ellis, a returning starter from last year. But like Ellis took advantage of McGee’s injury last year, McGee took advantage of Ellis’ sprained ankle this year. He’s actually come in for Ellis and played at a higher level than Ellis was previously playing.
With his superior speed and quickness, McGee has better enabled the Raiders to transition to the 3-4. McGee has been at least just as good against the run but has been harassing quarterbacks, at times chasing them into sacks. He doesn’t have a sack yet but he has been very disruptive, collapsing the pocket from the inside.
