Philip Rivers ($6,600) @ Baltimore Ravens:
Rivers is going to be a popular play this week, but for good reason. In his last four weeks, Rivers is averaging 390 yards passing on 52 attempts, with 10 TD’s and just 3 INT’s. On Draft Kings, that’s an average of 28.8 points per game, which is outstanding value for his price.
No team allows more fantasy points to QB’s than the Ravens, so load up on Philip Rivers. He’s a great play in cash games and he’s also viable in tournaments because of his high upside.
Andy Dalton ($6,000) @ Pittsburgh Steelers:
Dalton has been one of my favorite plays all year long, and that trend continues this week against the Steelers.
Pittsburgh ranks in the bottom half of the league in fantasy points given up to QB’s, and Dalton is averaging 25 fantasy ppg on the season, trailing only Tom Brady.
The Red Rocket’s lowest scoring fantasy output was in the opener against Oakland, in which he scored 18.9 points. He has two games of 31 and 35.3 points, so you get a high floor with Dalton and a fairly high ceiling as well.
Brian Hoyer ($5,300) vs. Tennesse Titans:
In a two-QB format such as Draft Kings, it’s very useful to find some salary relief where you can still hit value. Hoyer has been that guy for four weeks running.
Since Week 4, Hoyer has posted totals of 17.3, 23.9, 24.2 and 21.9 points. Taking his price into consideration, he’s reaching value at just about the same rate as Rivers and Dalton.
The Titans aren’t an easy matchup but Hoyer will attempt plenty of passes, so he should be able to produce a respectable output, allowing you to spend up at other positions.
