Solution

With Allen scheduled to return from the short-term injured reserve, Carrie should finally be able to return to his actual position as an outside corner. This should force Hayden further down the depth chart, thus allowing Amerson and Thorpe to assume the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. Though this still isn’t an ideal situation, this should lead to an overall improvement in Oakland’s secondary.

Another idea would be to increase the amount of snaps McGill sees in-game now that he has fully returned from injury, he hasn’t seen a lot of snaps regardless, thus leading people to believe that McGill simply isn’t getting it done in practice.
