With Olawale and wide receiver Michael Crabtree both signing contracts this week to stay in Oakland, Raiders left tackle Donald Penn is expected to be the next veteran to be offered an extension.

Penn, 32-years-old, signed a two-year, $ 9,600,000 contract in 2014 and is now on pace to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. Though Penn has stated that he wants to stay in Oakland, he still is focused on the task at hand and finishing the season on a high note.

“I want to retire a Raider, I think I’ve made that pretty clear,” Penn sad, via Williamson of ESPN.com. “But I’m just focused on Denver [where the Raiders play on Sunday] and then the rest of the season. I want to finish strong and get some momentum going for next year.”

Unlike Schofield and Harris, Penn has had quite a productive season protecting his quarterback’s blind side, as ProFootballFocus.com has him as the eighth-best overall tackle in football right now.

With Von Miller and possibly DeMarcus Ware both coming after him on the edge Sunday, look for Penn to look to respond positively to the challenge in order to further secure his place with the Silver and Black.
