Dream signing: Malik Jackson, DE, Denver Broncos

Realistic signing: Jaye Howard, DT, Kansas City Chiefs

Malik Jackson is widely considered the top overall free agent in this class. He’s extremely disruptive and has position versatility. He just turned 26 in January, so a long-term deal will take him through his prime. The Raiders are considered one of the favorites Malik, so he is one of the most realistic big names on the market.

The majority of NFL teams who can afford him will surely be in on the Malik sweepstakes. So more realistically, a player like Jaye Howard could end up in Oakland. Howard would play a similar role as Dan Williams, but a second impactful interior lineman would still be helpful, especially with the uncertainty of Mario Edwards’ health.

The DL free agent class has other players such as Ian Williams, Mike DeVito, Jason Jones, Derrick Shelby and Cedric Thornton who could be options for Oakland.
