Oakland Raiders: Menelik Watson’s Deleted Tweet

In a since deleted tweet, Oakland Raiders right tackle Menelik Watson may have let the cat out of the bag.

As far as what information he might be hinting towards, the most likely thing certainly involves Donald Penn. It could also be about Aldon Smith, but my money would be on Penn.

If so, it’s the first positive sign regarding this situation since free agency began. Prior to this, the only real update was that Penn was interested in coming back, but it’s been unclear whether that interested is shared by the team.

The open market probably hasn’t been as generous as Penn had hoped, which increases the chances of the two sides coming to a deal.

Let’s hope that’s the case, because an offensive line of Penn-Osemele-Hudson-Jackson and anybody reading this plugged in at right tackle would be arguably the best in football.
