On paper, Oakland should have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, already. Still, right tackles Menelik Watson and Austin Howard could both miss offseason programs rehabbing injuries. Beatty would provide nice insurance at right tackle.

Remember versatile lineman Khalif Barnes is not currently under contract. Beatty could also fill his role as a depth option along the inside or outside line.

Already, the Raiders are among suitors for Beatty. The former New York Giants starter did not play last season thanks to a pectoral injury, and he was cut at the end of the year.

Oakland signed J’Marcus Webb last season after he sat out an entire year. Maybe they do the same with Beatty.
