Vonn Bell, Ohio State

Vonn Bell, an instinctive, confident free safety at Ohio State, can rely on his knowledge of the game to put him into position to make plays in the secondary. Also, the former Buckeye is versatile enough to play deeper zone coverage and lock slot receivers down in man coverage.

At 5’11”, 199 pounds, Bell lacks ideal size for a safety in the NFL. He isn’t a sure tackler near the line of scrimmage and will often struggle to bring down bigger backs in the NFL.

With Bell lacking in size and tackling ability, he will be limited to a free safety role at the next level, but with Oakland needing any coverage help they can get the Raiders could take a flyer on Bell in the second round.
