Evaluating the Oakland Raiders running back options by ranking the Top 10 tailbacks in the 2016 NFL Draft.

The Oakland Raiders have pressing needs at both the cornerback and safety position heading into the 2016 NFL draft, but adding a running back to their roster somewhere in the draft will be an instrumental step to improving their rushing attack this season.

Even with lead back Latavius Murray’s 1,066 yards, Oakland finished as the 28th ranked rushing offense in 2016, via NFL.com.

With the investments the Raiders have made in their offensive line in Kelechi Osemele and Donald Penn, it’s obvious that Oakland GM Reggie McKenzie wants to establish a powerful, violent rushing identity in 2016. Murray, a high-cut back without desirable lateral quickness, proved last season that he isn’t a reliable bell-cow back, and as a result, McKenzie is expected to bring in a playmaker in the draft to assume a tandem role with Murray this upcoming season.

Here is a list of the top ten running backs in this year’s class that could be with Silver and Black in 2016.
