Jordan Howard, Indiana

With UAB liquidating their football program after the 2014 season, running back Jordan Howard found a new home at the University of Indiana where he replaced now Atlanta Falcons running back Tevin Coleman.

In his only year with the Hoosiers, Howard carried the ball 196 times for 1,213 yards and nine touchdowns in nine games.

Unlike Taylor, Howard is a powerful, downhill runner that gets the job done by remaining square behind his pads and lowering his shoulders through contact. He also has strong vision and patience behind the line of scrimmage.

Without ideal quickness or lateral agility, Howard will likely rely on his bully mentality to break tackles at the next level. Howard’s injuries to his lower body (knee and ankle) during his final season also serve as a concern, for he will struggle to remain durable if he is going to continue to throw his body into defenders at the next level.
