Where Is It Going?

In short, up, way up. I love what the Raiders are doing with this defense. Although the addition of Reggie Nelson does not excite me like it does for so many others, I do acknowledge the fact that he is a good player and if the defense is formatted right, he could really help lock this down.

My biggest concern is that defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr tries a little too much to keep the Raiders in a single high safety system, hoping it works out when in the end he does have two safeties to accomplish the two high safety concepts very well.

What has been built in Oakland is truly unique and as long as everyone accepts how unique the players are and allows them to do what they do best, things can be exceptional defensively in the East Bay.
