Two of the top three quarterbacks from the 2014 NFL Draft Class face-off in Blake Bortles and Derek Carr. Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio faces the team he coached from 2003 to 2011 for the first time.

These teams have competed for free agents the past two seasons. Both teams are on the rise and it would be good gauge of where the Raiders are in their rebuild.

The fourteenth anniversary happens to fall on the opening day of the NFL season. Hence, this game should be filled with tons of emotion.

Added, the Raiders opened last season with a terrible loss in last season’s opener. This year, they open the year on the road and as underdogs. Expect them to set the tone in this game. Are the Raiders finally ready to emerge as a contender? Will they live up to the offseason hype? We will have a better idea after week one.
