Rory Anderson: Karl Joseph, Safety, WVU

Why I Like This Pick: If you have followed my work during the pre-draft process, you would know that I generally hate the 14 spot for the Raiders. I don’t think any of the healthy first rounders will last until 14 so the Raiders will trade down most likely with the Bills or Jets.

From there they will take the Bob Sanders clone who can play any safety spot in Joseph. Most importantly, Joseph’s knee has had a lot of positive reports and he will be good to go by camp. I love this player and if a trade down happens to make it happen it will be stupendous. Some feel Joseph is a second round grade due to his injury, but he won’t be available for the Raiders in the second round making it a must to take him in the first round if they want the best safety in the draft class.
