Oakland Raiders: Best Available Players Remaining on Day 2

Though he wasn’t previously considered a first round talent by a majority of NFL analysts, former Florida defensive end Jonathan Bullard is a blue-collar edge-rusher with a motor that simply doesn’t stop, but his inability to have consistent production as a pass rusher forced him down draft boards.
Bullard is a high-effort player, as he is a constant threat to make a play on the backside of runs and will rarely let up in his pursuit for the ball carrier. Also, Bullard is a technician with his hands against the run, as he excels at creating separation at the line of scrimmage and sheds opposing offensive linemen with ease.
According to ProFootballFocus.com, Bullard earned the top grade against the run among all interior defensive linemen in the country.
At 6’3”, 285 pounds, Bullard has the potential to be a stout run defender along the edge as a 4-3 defensive end, or if he chooses to add some bulk to his frame, he could be kicked inside to play defensive tackle in a 4-3 or defensive end in a 3-4.
Though he doesn’t have elite pass rushing talent, Bullard has upside as an interior pass rusher on third downs.
With Mario Edwards’ future still in question, Bullard could fill a need for Oakland at defensive end.
