Mack is the favorite to become the next leader, because he is the Raiders best player. The third-year pro improved last season, and he should continue improving on the field and as a leader.

Mack said Woodson prepared him for the role last year, by forcing Mack to do the pregame speeches.

“For me, I’m just taking it day by day and slowly, slowly seeing what happens. The leadership role is definitely in effect at this point.” Mack said about his new leadership role.

Will the soft spoken Mack continue developing as a leader?
