  1. Gabe Jackson’s Transition to Right Guard Appearing Seamless

With the addition of Osemele to Oakland’s offensive line, Gabe Jackson, a three-year starter at left guard at Mississippi State and now a two-year starter at left guard in Oakland, has been asked to make the switch over to the right side. Fortunately for the Raiders, Jackson has welcomed the switch with open arms.

“Anytime you have something new there are different growing pains,” Jackson said. “It’s different, but at the same time it’s fun. I feel like I’m at the starting point of my career and the beginning point of my career and the more you can learn, the better it is. The more you can do, the better it is. I’m glad and anxious bout it, and excited to get started.”

Jackson’s willingness to move over to the right side allows Del Rio and company to put together the best combination of offensive linemen on this roster, for having both Jackson and Osemele within the interior should only improve their ability to keep Carr upright and develop their rushing attack.

According to Nathan Jahnke of ProFootballFocus.com, Oakland is entering the 2016 season with the top-rated offensive line in the NFL.
