Ranking the Oakland Raiders Training Camp Roster: 90-81
84. Torian White
A former UCLA recruit who was dismissed after allegations of sexual assault surfaced attached to his name, Torian White was exiled to play for Hampton despite avoiding criminal charges. Drastically altering the course of the offensive lineman’s career as he went from playing under the bright lights of the PAC-12 to toiling in the lower levels of college football.
Despite his past history, White has NFL athleticism that made him a UCLA recruit as a 6’5″ offensive lineman who could be an interesting project player to stash on a practice squad and develop.
White’s past issues might raise concerns, but if the Raiders are willing to bring in White despite his allegations of violence against women it is a sign that the team has talked to the prospect and have liked what they have heard. Don’t expect White to be on the 53 man roster, but with untouched potential there is a chance he turns into a developmental project down the road.
