88. Chris Edwards
A UDFA coming out of Idaho, Chris Edwards is looking to earn a practice squad role to start his NFL career by impressing the Raiders coaching staff in what will be his first NFL training camp. An important opportunity for a player who is looking to prove that he belongs on the field in the NFL as a prospect who generated very little buzz during the draft process.
Edwards played in all 12 games for the Vandals during his senior season, putting up strong numbers in his final collegiate season with 62 tackles along with a defensive touchdown off an interception to help close out his college career.
Now that Edwards is stepping up in competition from small school Idaho to the Raiders training camp, he is going to have to prove that he can stay with NFL-level wideouts consistently in practice before he gets a chance at sniffing the practice squad or preseason roster. If Edwards can do that, he might be an interesting UDFA story although it is most likely that he struggles after having a very average collegiate career.
