In typical Reggie McKenzie fashion, the Oakland Raiders completed a Friday transaction, extending the contract of David Amerson with a 4-year, $38M deal, with $18M guaranteed.

Amerson, a second-round pick in 2013, struggled during his time with the Washington Redskins. So much so, that PFF ranked him 92nd out of 110 players in 2013, and 106th out of 110 players in 2014.

Amerson was released by Washington in September of 2015, and it didn’t take long for him to find work. McKenzie put in a waiver claim for him, which didn’t inspire much optimism.

What value could one of the worst cornerbacks in the NFL bring to the table? Fortunately for the sake of the team, Reggie McKenzie is smarter than we are.

PFF named Amerson their most improved player in 2015 — ranking him 14th overall amongst all cornerbacks.

But you don’t need PFF to tell you that Amerson was making plays all over the field.

To celebrate Amerson’s payday, let’s take a look at his top five plays from the 2015 season.
