72. Jimmy Hall

A converted safety/linebacker hybrid, Jimmy Hall came to the Oakland Raiders in 2015 as an undrafted free agent with a label of being a tweener. A lack of position that put Hall on the practice squad in his first season in Oakland as Hall will be participating in his second camp with the Raiders this summer.

Hall played safety for three seasons at Northwestern before moving to outside linebacker where he had his best collegiate season, but the Raiders have given the hybrid defender most of his looks in the secondary where they hope he can develop into a safety that could step in for some snaps in case of emergency.

After one season with the Raiders on the practice squad, Hall should be familiar with the defense and have an edge over the first year players at camp this year. Another season getting experience on the practice squad is likely in Hall’s future, but it will be interesting to see how the hybrid player performs after a year with the Raiders coaches this summer.
