Ranking the Oakland Raiders Training Camp Roster: 70-61
68. Gabe Holmes
Gabe Holmes is one of the Oakland Raiders most interesting developmental prospects as the tight end spent 2015 on the practice squad. Many feeling that Holmes could one day become a weapon in the Raiders passing game due to his exciting athletic tools.
Standing at 6’5″ with receiver abilities, Holmes flashed his promise enough to hover around the roster as a rookie, but not enough to climb above Mychal Rivera, Clive Walford and Lee Smith on the depth chart.
Holmes will be looking to take someone’s job this summer as all four of the Raiders tight ends will be returning to training camp. With immense upside due to his size, the Raiders will be giving Holmes a serious look at camp and during the preseason to see where his development is at. If he has progressed this offseason, don’t be surprised if he ends up on the active roster.
