Derek Carr throws for 4,000 yards

Over

Derek Carr improved in most passing categories from his rookie campaign to his sophomore campaign. Carr improved completion percentage,  touchdown percentage, yards, touchdowns, yards-per-completion, yards-per-attempt, rating and yards-per-game.

However, Carr finished just 13 yards below the 4,000 yard mark. Don’t forget he also threw one more interception and got sacked more. In fact, Carr threw 7 of his 13 interceptions in the final six games. He also only threw 8 TDs in that same span.

At times, Carr seemed like he was doing too much last year. This year he will not have to do that. He has another year in the offensive scheme. All of the key skill players are returning. Plus, the offensive line improved which should keep him from getting pressured.

Expect the third-year QB to pass that 4,000 mark this year.
