19. Karl Joseph

Good news out of Raiders HQ is that Karl Joseph is running well and looking good so far in practice, easing some concern about his surgically repaired knee.

There is a lot of excitement around the Raiders first-round selection, and for good reason. Joseph fits exactly what the Raiders were looking for — a hard-hitting safety who is also sound in coverage.

Alongside free agent signee Reggie Nelson and also with the addition of Sean Smith, Oakland’s secondary has seen a huge improvement. Joseph should be a staple for this defensive unit for years to come, giving Reggie McKenzie yet another cornerstone player.
