Previewing the players to watch as the Oakland Raiders open up their preseason schedule against the Arizona Cardinals.

After ten solid training camp practices with a little break in between, the Raiders get back to work today in the Napa Valley to prepare for their first preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on Friday, August 12.

Some early storylines are emerging leading up to the first preseason game, and some questions are sure to be addressed – if not answered – Friday night.

There are multiple storylines in camp, such as Menelik Watson continuing to hold off Austin Howard at right tackle, shifts along the defensive front, and Marcel Reece working with the TE’s while Jamize Olawale replaces him at FB.

But really, the first preseason game is about knocking off rust and getting the starters in there for a few snaps, and then letting the rookies and marginal players go blood sport as they gain experience and/or battle for roster spots.  The first preseason game is a showcase for players who need to showcase themselves to make a roster or announce their arrival.

So who is most worth watching Friday as the Raiders kickoff the 2016 season? Here we go.
