It’s been a long offseason (isn’t it always?) but Oakland Raiders football is officially back.

Well, as of 7:00pm PST on Friday, August 12th, it will be. That’s the Raiders preseason opener, on the road against the Arizona Cardinals.

The first preseason game is typically 95% played by backups, with starters usually playing a maximum of one series. This means that backups and fringe roster players will have plenty of opportunity to make an impression.
