Many storylines will be in play when the Raiders take the field, but perhaps the biggest one is the status of first-round draft pick, Karl Joseph.

Joseph tore the ACL in his right knee in early October, and he missed the entire offseason workout program as a result. But he continued to rehab and progress, and participated in almost all of training camp.

By most accounts, Joseph looks healthy and is moving around very well, but looking good in camp and playing in a game are two very different things. So how will the Raiders handle their rookie safety?

Joseph has been a full participant in practice, and the team would certainly love to get him live reps, but there is also no reason to rush him onto the field. There are still three more preseason games, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Raiders ease Joseph into action.
