Can Atkinson have a repeat performance?

The big story from the first game was George Atkinson III — five carries for 87 yards and two long touchdowns runs.

What will he do for an encore?

This is an important storyline for this game, as the third running back spot is up in the air. Between Taiwan Jones, GA3 and Jalen Richard, the team is likely to keep only one of them.

If Atkinson has another solid performance, it’ll be tough to not give the job to him. But Taiwan has been a mainstay on the team and offers value in other areas, so he will be tough to beat out.

Also, Richard is expected to make his debut, so that is just another element to make this decision even tougher.

How the Raiders divide up the carries could be telling to who wins the job, as first cuts are less than two weeks away.
