Raiders 53-man Roster Projection: Dead Money & Cap Savings

Reggie McKenzie has proven himself to be a salary cap wizard. He dug the Raiders out of cap hell and has built a talented team, all while keeping contracts team-friendly.

Part of that is not taking on dead money if it’s avoidable. In some cases though, it’s simply not. Here is a look at the dead money and the cap savings for the Raiders if these are the players that are released.

Jake McGee: Unknown, but presumably the same as the other UDFA’s.

Colton Underwood: $0 dead money, $450K savings.

Ross Burbank: $0 dead money, $450K savings.

Terran Vaughn: Unknown, but presumably the same as the other UDFA’s.

Matt McCants: $0 dead money, $1.671M savings.

Denver Kirkland: Unknown, but presumably the same as the other UDFA’s.
