Strength: Defensive Tackle

Last week, Dan Williams returned to the Raiders starting lineup in the ‘dress rehearsal’ third preseason game versus the Titans.

Overall, Williams played 36 percent of the Raiders defensive snap. He and Justin Ellis should team up as one of the best run-stopping duos on first and second down.

Plus, Oakland has Jihad Ward who may start over one of those guys because of his speed and athleticism. Added, Oakland found a gem in defensive tackle Darius Latham. At one point, he was the highest graded rookie in the preseason.

It really should not come as a surprise considering Del Rio lead defenses usually have strong inside defensive linemen play. In Denver, it was Terrance Knighton, Malik Jackson, and others. Jacksonville featured Marcus Stroud and John Henderson. Even the Baltimore and Carolina defenses that Del Rio assisted feature good defensive tackle play.
