Buy or Sell: Oakland Raiders vs. Buffalo Bills

Derek Carr Needs to Get Back Under Center
Sell.
Raiders quarterback Derek Carr suffered a dislocated pinkie when taking a snap from under center against the Carolina Panthers last week and returned to the game to take snaps solely from the shotgun.
Carr believed he could get back under center against the Bills on Sunday, but all 67 of the Raiders’ offensive plays featured Carr either in the shotgun or pistol formation.
With that being said, some believe the Raiders’ offense will suffer in short-yardage situations if Carr is unable to take snaps under center.
Oakland did fail to pick up a first down on third and one early in the second quarter out of the shotgun and was forced to punt, opening the door for critics to doubt the Raiders in short-yardage situations.
Their doubts are unwarranted.
Raiders backup running back Jalen Richard soon picked up a first down on the ground on 3rd and 2 inside the red zone later in the second quarter. Lead back Latavius Murray moved the chains on another opportunity on 3rd and 2 inside the red zone with nine minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Raiders offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave will need to remain creative in his play calling until Carr returns under center, but Oakland can afford to give Carr all the time he needs.
