Round 6 – Andreas Knappe, OT, UConn

The Oakland Raiders are a right tackle short of contending with the Dallas Cowboys for the best offensive line in football.

UCONN tackle Andreas Knappe is a physical specimen at 6’9″, 295 pounds, and with skills to boot.

Knappe’s play on a below-average Huskies team as well as his age (25) attribute to his late draft selection. But the Denmark native is more than equipped for whatever, or whoever comes his way.

Considering his size, Knappe’s technique is fundamentally sound, staying square on his blocks. Knappe’s tenacity is sure to win over fiery vets Donald Penn and Kelechi Osemele, and with the coaching of Mike Tice, he could turn into a quality player for the Raiders.
