Round 7 – Tyrique Jarrett, DT, Pittsburgh

Oakland’s interior defense was plain awful, forcing linebackers Khalil Mack and Bruce Irvin to shoulder the load. And the regressions of defensive tackles Justin Ellis and Dan Williams in 2016 were catastrophic.

Drafting Tyrique Jarrett gives Oakland a solid plug up the middle that can stop the run. Jarrett is a project that could benefit from shedding a few pounds off his 335-pound frame, but his potential is evident.
