Oakland Raiders: Top 5 Free Agent Running Backs
By Gagan Aujla
2. Isaiah Crowell
Never would I predict that the Raiders would think about targeting a player out of Cleveland, but here I am.
Isaiah Crowell is someone could bring a different dynamic to the Oakland Raiders.
Crowell had a promising season in 2016, picking up 952 yards rushing and 7 touchdowns. He was one of the lone bright spots on a terrible Cleveland Browns team. Crowell was also a threat as a pass catcher, recording 40 receptions for 319 yards.
In short, Crowell was a giant piece on the Browns offense. Imagine what he would be capable of he had the supporting cast like the Raiders currently have.
1. Eddie Lacy
After having an injury shortened season, Lacy definitely has something to prove. Lacy had deal with injuries and also regressed some, but he was once considered a top ten running back and was on track to being paid big bucks by the Green Bay Packers.
After a disappointing 2015 season and a banged up 2016 campaign, it appears that Lacy could hit the open market.
With his stock low, there is chance that Lacy could be signed at a better-than-expected price. If he were to sign on a bargain one or two-year deal, he could certainly bounce back to the production of his former self behind Oakland’s dominant offensive line.
With scat backs already in place, Lacy is another option who is a flat out bruiser, and would complement the current two backs quite well.

The Raiders would only need a player like Lacy to pickup on short yardage conversions or around the goal-line, and those are both areas where he excels.
