The Oakland Raiders and running back Marshawn Lynch will collaborate on merchandise for the 2017 season.

Marshawn Lynch’s decision to come out of retirement to play football for the his hometown Oakland Raiders has plenty of benefits for both sides, and per a report from Pro Football Talk, there is an added off-field benefit for Beast Mode.

Per Mike Florio of PFT:

"“Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Raiders and Lynch will be collaborating on items that carry both the Raiders and Beastmode brands, logos, trademarks, etc. Those items will be available in the stadium on game days, via the Raider Image store, and elsewhere.”"

This is an absolute win-win for both parties. With both logos being branded on the apparel, there will be financial benefits for both Marshawn and the team, as well as them helping the other increase their branding and profile. Not that either side necessarily needs the help, but it’s a no-brainer for them to collaborate like this.

Lynch had previously been selling Silver and Black and Raiders themed apparel on his Beast Mode website.

If Marshawn sees the end of his contract, he could earn upwards of $9 million. Not to mention the added income from this deal, among endorsement and any other future deals.

Three Raiders recently cracked the Top 25 in total merchandise sales for the 2016 season — Derek Carr, Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper. Expect Marshawn Lynch to end up on that list in 2017. And because this collaboration will have the team logo, it will be licensed by the NFL, which will give Marshawn quite the post in his eventual merchandise sales ranking. Don’t be surprised to see him rank quite high on the list next year.

Marshawn, with approval of Charles Woodson, will wear the storied no. 24 jersey for the Raiders, which also has been donned by Willie Brown.
