3rd – Obi Melifonwu – No. 20

I did say thing were getting tricky, right?

20 is an absolute elite number choice. From Lem Barney to Mel Renfro, the no. 20 has a history of being worn by long and physical defensive backs. At 6’4″ and 220 pounds Obi, who also wore 20 in college, checks those boxes with ease.

Despite this, with the number choices by the two players ahead of him being absolutely perfect Obi is shuffled to the third spot in our rankings. Still, 20 is one of the most aesthetically pleasing numbers you could possibly find on a safety.

With current stud DB’s like Jalen Ramsey and Reshad Jones wearing 20 with pride, Obi looks to carry on a tradition of excellence laid out before him by some of the best. With a glaring need at safety and off the charts athletic ability, Obi is primed for greatness with the Raiders.
