Second Round

Even though Marshawn Lynch may want to play a second year in Oakland in 2018, it still should be time for the Raiders to look for a power back in the upcoming draft. Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington are definitely shiftier than Lynch, so the Raiders need to look for a potential battering ram back in either the first, second or third round.

One player that fits that mould has to be Alabama Crimson Tide junior running back Bo Scarbrough. He might be a Heisman contender for all we know. Scarbrough plays with the power of a Derrick Henry, but the tackle-breaking ability of an Eddie Lacy. Since Scarbrough will be splitting carries in Tuscaloosa with Damien Harris and Joshua Jacobs, he won’t be as banged up as many star players that come out of the Alabama program, assuming he leaves school a year early in 2018.

Third Round

Reggie McKenzie may not look to use high-end draft picks on inside linebackers, but getting the Iowa Hawkeyes Josey Jewell in the latter part of the third round may be too good to pass up. Jewell will be playing his redshirt senior season in Iowa City in 2018. He may not have great upside, but has been a productive player for head coach Kirk Ferentz in his Hawkeyes career.

To date, Jewell has 301 career tackles, 15 passes defended 14.5 for a loss of yardage, 5.5 quarterback sacks and four interceptions. Jewell is a candidate to be an All-Big Ten player in his redshirt senior season. If he demonstrates great leadership qualities in the middle of the Iowa defense, Jewell could be the inside linebacker Raider Nation has coveted for some time now.
