Oakland Raiders: 5 best highlights from Week 1 vs. Titans
By John Buhler
1. Marshawn Lynch trucks Jurrell Casey on six-yard run
The Raiders started the game strong, so they had to finish the game strong. Up 23-16 and near the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter, the Raiders elected to pound the rock with Lynch to milk this clock with the lead.
Oakland was already well in field goal range at the Tennessee 23-yard line when Lynch busted out his best run of the day. It was the play that broke the Titans’ back in this one. Lynch is a punishing runner and that has not seemed to have stayed in retirement.
He would take the handoff from Carr and then proceed to steamroll Titans defensive tackle Jurrell Casey for a six-yard gain to make it a manageable third and two at the two-minute warning. Casey is one of the better front-seven players in Tennessee, but he had no chance in bringing Beast Mode down on that run.

Oakland would have to settle for fourth Giorgio Tavecchio field goal after failing to convert the third and short. The Titans would get the ball back with 69 seconds left down 10, but everybody in Nashville knew it was over. Lynch stomped on Casey, as the punctuation mark for the Raiders’ big Week 1 win over Tennessee.
