3. Derek Carr finds Seth Roberts for slick 19-yard touchdown

Touchdowns were not easy to come by in a game where we thought they would be bountiful. Turns out, there were only three and this one from Carr to wide receiver Seth Roberts would be the last of the trio. It might have been the best pass that Carr threw all day.

Up 16-13 with 12:05 left in the game, the Raiders were in the red zone and thinking six. Though the defense was playing very well, the Raiders offense needed probably one more touchdown to feel good about stealing a game on the Titans’ turf.

On a first and 10 out of the ‘gun, Carr would make a very precise throw to Roberts in the end zone for a 19-yard touchdown strike. The ball had the right amount of zip on it to beat the three Titans that were around Roberts so he could make the touchdown grab.

That was the second touchdown pass of the day for Carr and the first of the season for Roberts. Both Raiders players received big contract extensions this offseason. Having an excellent complementary receiver in Roberts definitely takes the pressure off Carr, Cooper and wide receiver Michael Crabtree in the passing game. After this touchdown, it felt like the Raiders were going to win this one after all in Nashville.
