Betting Odds

Las Vegas sees these two rivals being evenly matched. The spread has been low all week, but in the Raiders’ favor since this is a home game for the Silver and Black. However, the impact of the fires in the North Bay might actually take away some degree of home field advantage in this one. Then again, the Cal Golden Bears had no problem handling the No. 8 Washington State Cougars in Berkeley on Friday night.

According to SportsBook Review, the Raiders will be laying three points to the visiting Chargers. The associated moneylines for this game are Oakland -165 and Los Angeles +145. This game’s over/under comes in at a combined 49 points.

Point Spread: Oakland -3
Moneylines: Oakland -165, Los Angeles +145
Over/Under: 49

On a neutral site, this game would be a pick ’em. Even with starting quarterback Derek Carr back under center for the Raiders, he’s not at 100 percent and Las Vegas knows that. The quarterback matchup between Carr and Philip Rivers of the Chargers will have to be a push.

With the Chargers playing their home games at the StubHub Center in Carson and the fires resulting in bad air quality in the Bay Area, both teams will be playing in less than desirable conditions. This is why the Raiders haven’t laid more than four points, but no less than three points all week to the Chargers.
