Weather Forecast

Outside of the hazardous air from the North Bay that initially threatened to relocate the game, the weather conditions should be satisfactory for this game. According to Weather.com, it will be 76 degrees Fahrenheit at kickoff from The Coliseum.

It will warm up to 84 degrees Fahrenheit by 4:00 p.m. PT for the high on the day, but there will be little to no humidity or precipitation in this game. There is no chance of rainfall and the humidity will be in the high teens to low 20s throughout the game.

Wind won’t be an issue either in this game, as the teams will have to deal with a 7-8 mile per hour northeast wind throughout the game. Expect this game to be very dry and a bit toastier than expected in the second half. We could see players on both teams suffer from cramps in this ball game if not properly hydrated.

Because of the poor air quality, it will be important for both teams to manage substitutions effectively. It might cause a slower paced game that many would be expecting. In essence, we’re looking at potentially a low-scoring affair with each possession meaning a bit more in this tight ball game that should go down to the wire.
