Generate pressure coming off the edge

The Bills’ strength along the offensive line is in the interior. Eric Wood is a good, but not great center. Guard Richie Incognito is a perennial Pro Bowl talent that loves to be the instigator in the trenches. He has played very well since arriving in Western New York after the Miami debacle.

With that in mind, Oakland will have its best chance to win on defense Sunday if the Raiders can generate pressure coming off the edge. Buffalo is still looking to restructure its roster. One player that could be dealt before the deadline is tackle Cordy Glenn. Buffalo may opt to go with Jordan Mills and rookie Dion Dawkins should the Bills part ways with Glenn.

While Buffalo sorts out its offensive line strategy, the Raiders know that they can generate pressure on just about any offensive line in football. Khalil Mack is still playing at a supreme level, especially in run defense. Bruce Irvin has come alive in recent weeks playing opposite of him.

Though the Bills have a mobile quarterback in Tyrod Taylor, he can get sacked behind a collapsing pocket. While he will look to extend plays with his legs, he’s not going to force throws into tight windows under pressure. He’ll just take the sack to live to fight on another down.
