4. Maybe the Bills aren’t that good after all?

Just when everybody thought that they knew for that the Buffalo Bills were good for sure, they may just be 8-8 or 7-9 BS after all. Losing on the road to the division rival New York Jets on Thursday Night Football in Week 9 was a bad look. Whatever you want to classify what happened in Orchard Park on Sunday is a whole other thing.

Getting boat raced by a dome team at home in terrible weather is embarrassing. It’s not like Bills head coach Sean McDermott hasn’t seen this Saints offense before. Keep in mind that he was the long-time defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers before taking the Bills job. That was a sorry effort from Buffalo on Sunday.

Then again, the Raiders got pulverized by the same Bills team up in Orchard Park in Week 8. That was a bad look for the Raiders. What that game might have revealed more than anything is that the Bills need to win the turnover margin to win ball games. Oakland gave up four turnovers to Buffalo in their meeting a few weeks back. There you go.

Overall, Buffalo will win somewhere between seven and 10 games this season. Expect the Bills to stay in the AFC playoff hunt into the final week. Not having the head-to-head tiebreaker over Buffalo hurts Oakland, but we might have seen Buffalo already play their best ball of the season.
