Weather Forecast

According to Weather.com, the forecast for the Raiders versus Broncos game in Oakland predicts showers and temperature in the low 60s. Rainfall is expected to begin at 9:45 a.m. PT and should continue throughout the day Sunday.

We’re looking at 55 to 60 percent chance of rain during the game. It will be 61 degrees Fahrenheit during the 1:25 p.m. PT kickoff, dropping down to 59 degrees in the fourth quarter. Humidity will be in the high 80s up to 91 percent. Wind will be a factor in this game as well, as both teams will have to deal with a constant 11 to 13 mile per hour southwest wind.

So what this means for the game is potentially a soupy, sloppy mess. This means the Raiders have to be especially careful with the football. They will need to lean on running back Marshawn Lynch to carry the load offensively. Passing the ball could be difficult for Derek Carr, especially with his receivers living to drop passes.

Special teams could be really weird in this game. Expect at least a few miscues in that crucial third phase. Somebody is going to muff a punt or miss a field goal. If there is a game where the Raiders force an interception, it might be this game. An inaccurate Paxton Lynch throwing in the rain. Get it done, boys!
