Weather Forecast

The weather has been a huge point of discussion with this game once the date was released back in the spring. Oakland playing an early start time on the road in Kansas City in the middle of December. What could go wrong?

According to Weather.com, it should actually be a nice day for football. It will be 49 degrees Fahrenheit at 12:00 p.m. CT in Kansas City. The temperature will climb to 54 degrees by the 3:00 p.m. CT hour. However, we are looking at a wind chill that will make it feel four degrees cooler than the temperature outside.

There is no chance of rain and humidity will be in the low 30th percentile. However, wind will be an issue in this game. We’re looking at a constant 11 mile per hour west by northwest wind to whip by the stadium all afternoon. So how does all this factor in the game?

No, it will not be a frigid contest for the Raiders, so they catch another break there. However, the wind could make balls sail on the quarterbacks and could effect the accuracy of the kicking game on special teams. For a December road game in Kansas City, it could be so much worse than it will be on Sunday afternoon in Arrowhead in 2017.
