Betting Odds

With a playoff spot on the line for the Chargers and nothing but pride to play for with the Raiders, it should not come as a surprise that Los Angeles is a considerable favorite in this Week 17. It is a rivalry game, so really anything could happen in it. That’s what makes this matchup so exciting.

According to OddsShark, the Chargers will be laying 6.5 points to the visiting Raiders on Sunday afternoon in Week 17. The associated moneylines for this game are Los Angeles -290 and Oakland +260. This game’s over/under comes in at a combined 42.5 points.

Point Spread: Los Angeles -6.5
Moneylines: Los Angeles -290, Oakland +260
Over/Under: 42.5

The Chargers had been favored by as many as eight points in some sports books heading into this divisional rivalry game. However, the Raiders’ rabid fan base could make up the bulk of the StubHub Center. Los Angeles is used to playing essentially road games, but this could be an unreal atmosphere with Raider Nation coming out in full force.

Keep in mind that the Raiders haven’t played in Los Angeles since the mid-1990s when they used to be headquartered there. Though Los Angeles has possibly two playoff-bound teams in the Los Angeles Rams and the Chargers, this is still very much a Raiders town. The crowd is a huge factor in this game, so don’t kid yourself for a second.
