Weather Forecast

The Raiders are fortunate to have their last game of the season being in Southern California. Some teams will have to play in frigid conditions, just not the Chargers and the Silver and Black on New Year’s Eve afternoon down in Carson at the StubHub Center.

According to Weather.com, it will be 66 degrees Fahrenheit at the time of the 1:25 p.m. PT kickoff. There is no chance of rain and it should be in the mid-60s throughout the ball game. However, it will be fairly humid in this one with it being in low 60th percentiles.

Lastly, it won’t just be strange sight lines playing in a soccer stadium the Raiders might have to worry about. There will be a bit of wind rolling in constantly throughout the ball game. We’re looking at a southwest wind that will pick up from four miles per hour to eight miles per hour as the ball game progresses.

So in essence, the weather should be close to fantastic in this Week 17 matchup. However, the wind and humidity could be a factor late in the game. Oakland just played a freezing night game against the Philadelphia Eagles six days ago. Let’s hope the Raiders are ready to play all four quarters versus a Chargers team that is fighting for a playoff spot.
